COEUR d'ALENE - Sarah-Jessica Sedy has a way with letters. And lasting power, to boot. The Woodland Middle School eighth-grader correctly spelled "keeshond" in the 40th round to win the ninth annual North Idaho Regional Spelling Bee on Saturday at North Idaho College.

The Idaho Association of School Business Officials(IASBO)is now accepting nominations for 2012 Business Official of the Year!

This award is a peer recognition program for outstanding service, innovative plan design and implementation, or other exemplary business practices within school business management. Nominations will be accepted from IASBO Active or Honorary Members, immediate supervisors and local boards of education.

If you are an Idaho middle or high school, you are eligible to submit a Request for Proposal (RFP) for a one-year renewable grant through the J.A. and Kathryn Albertson Foundation’s new Go On Schools initiative.Here’s what you need to do:

-Aim High: if your school is committed to aim high with all your students, then you should consider applying for this grant (Note: this is not a contest like the Go On Challenge).
